Beyond.pl got to the finals of international DCD Global Awards 2017 contest!

Poznan, Poland – 8 November 2017 – It is said that this award is like „Oscars” to data center industry. Data center from Poznan got to the finals of international DCD Global Awards 2017 contest in the category „The Infrastructure Scale-Out Award”. Beyond.pl signed up with the project of opening Data Center 2 and its Rated-4 compliance verification certificate based on the requirements of the ANSI/TIA-942. The winner announcement is going to take place on 7th of December.

The contest awards the most innovative implementations from last 12 months. Category, in which Beyond.pl was nominated is for those really big data center projects, the behemoths of the digital infrastructure world.

The winner is going to be the project that can best demonstrate the overall benefits of working at scale. Beyond.pl competes with 3 companies: Lefdal Mine (Norway), Tencent (China),T. Is Bankasi (Turkey). In earlier edition the winner in this category was Facebook, Microsoft, Oracle.

“The nomination is for us a big award,” says CEO & Founder at Beyond.pl, Michał Grzybkowski. “The competition brings together main IT companies and projects. Finalists of each category was judged by the jury. This is a confirmation that our project was appreciated by independent, objective experts in international community,” he adds.

„Your position as Finalists within this prestigious Awards programme reflects the continual strive towards best practice and excellence which are hallmarks of your company” – this is how jury argues the nomination of Beyond.pl. For this moment each of the finalist completes an application for extra question from the jury. Winners of this year edition are going to be announced on 7th of December during a Gala in London.

DCD Global Awards contest is organized since 2006 by Data Center Dynamics – the British event-media company with a global range. During last 10 years they awarded over 250 innovative IT projects, which change IT sector. The winners of previous edition, except mentioned Microsoft, Facebook and Oracle, were also Visa, Dropbox, Citibank, Virgin Media, University of Cambridge.
