Poznan, Poland – 14 March 2017 – The main idea of the endeavor is to organize technical meetings for IT specialists in three cities – Poznan (24th of April), Wroclaw (17th of May) and Gdansk (14th of June). The Beyond.pl Cloud Academy is the educational project of Beyond.pl, one of the leading data center operators in Poland.

“We stand by a principle “Technicians for technicians”. All of our workshops are about specific matters and are presented by experienced engineers. It is the practical knowledge which is the main value for participants,” says Aleksandra Ochranowicz, the Coordinator of the Beyond.pl Cloud Academy project. “We are aware that the majority of such events take place in Warsaw. We are interested in the popularization of cloud computing as a working method with data also in other, equally important cities for business,” Ochranowicz states.

This year’s main topic of the series is „Efficient cloud implementation”. A special guest will be Miroslav Burnejko, influencer and author of the Chmurowisko.pl blog. Additionally in Poznan, Max Smolaks – the winner of the data center industry’s „Oscar” in the DCD Global Awards competition and the editor of Data Center Dynamics – a British, international media platform – will also give a speech.

“We invite to take part mostly IT Specialists with a good knowledge of cloud computing. Certainly, employees of IT Departments at all levels no matter of the size of the company will feel that it was the right place to be. The event is also aimed at students close to graduating, who want to confront theoretical knowledge with real world examples. We want practitioners to exchange their experiences,” invites the Coordinator.

There are many speeches In the event program that present cloud computing capabilities based on different virtual systems – from VMware, through e24cloud, Open Stack, to Microsoft Azure Stack. A part of the event will also be a demo from backup configuration based on Veeam’s tools. Participants of the workshop in Poznan will additionally experience the education path of the Data Center 2 Beyond.pl, in order to find out how the only in Central Eastern Europe with the ANSI/TIA-942 Rated-4 Certification data center operates. “There are still a lot of myths related to cloud computing, mostly in the area of data security. This project aims at weakening or eliminating these stereotypes. We believe that we will achieve that thanks to the cooperation with renowned technology partners as well as famous IT personalities.
