Beyond.pl hosted Poznan Security Meetup

9 April this year Beyond.pl hosted the 2nd edition of the 2024 Poznan Security Meetup. More than 40 cyber and IT Security representatives had the opportunity to listen to expert lectures and participate in a Beyond.pl Data Center Campus Tour.

Poznan Security Meetup is a project of cyclical meetings where topics related to IT security, including cyber attacks and their prevention, personal data protection, web application security, cryptography, or blockchain, are discussed.

The meeting at Beyond.pl was met with great interest. It brought together more than 40 cyber security enthusiasts. Participants listened to lectures by 3 experts. Artur Łącki presented a case study of finding vulnerabilities and reporting bugs in IoT devices, Dawid Czarnecki from Zigrin Security presented how to build a framework for testing web application software using IAST to protect against vulnerabilities, and Adam Pielak, IT Security Expert Beyond.pl, talked about using the Wazuh platform as an open source SIEM alternative for adequate protection against cyber threats.

The location of the event on the Beyond.pl Campus was no coincidence. As there is always an IT infrastructure behind properly functioning, efficient and secure applications and systems, participants toured the Beyond.pl Data Center Campus. During the tour, we explained the importance of:

  • security and zero-failure data centers in the context of business continuity – Data Center 2 located on campus is one of the most secure data centers in the EU, as confirmed by two independent bodies: ANSI/TIA-942 Rated 4 and EN 50600 Class 4. Since the facility’s commissioning in 2016, we have delivered 100% uptime to our customers;
  • providing services in line with international standards – in terms of data protection and security, we operate in compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type 1 and 2, and the PCI DSS standard defining how to process payment cardholder data;
  • sustainable IT services – we are proactively implementing sustainability guidelines. We were the first operator in Poland to power data centers with 100% renewable energy. Thanks to the high energy efficiency of our facilities, which is significantly lower than in competing data centers, we reduce the energy consumption of IT infrastructure. By choosing cloud and colocation services at Beyond.pl, customers reduce the carbon footprint generated by corporate IT resources;
  • maintaining infrastructure in a hybrid model – we deliver projects to customers in various industries and locations, combining colocation with cloud services (private, public, sovereign, multi-cloud model), which we augment with Managed Services (Managed OS, Managed Network, Disaster Recovery, Backup as a Service, anti-DDoS and Security services);
  • the new EU regulations NIS2 and DORA in cybersecurity – our teams are already working with clients in business continuity, optimizing IT incident handling, cyber hygiene, and risk management.

Thank you for the meeting!
